This report is based on data from national sources and labor statistics. Anecdotal information suggested that the shortage of laboratory professionals was perhaps the most critical of all the health professional shortages.  This report is an attempt to document the trends in this profession and to determine what can be expected in meeting the workforce requirements for this profession.
